Captain Owen
Your skipper on Kaos
Owen aka bush billy aka Capt Owen #CaptOwen #NZ_Kings is Epic’s most well-known skipper. Sharp-witted and intensely focused on getting results. Owen’s armed with an arsenal of one-liners that encourage you to “get a wind on” and help you see the funny side of being slammed against the rail on a big Kingy. All this together, coupled with the fact Owen skippers the most advanced Senator in the fleet, makes a trip out with Owen an unbeatable adventure.
Owen’s skills and take-action style off the rocks quickly converted to results on the boat, producing wicked trips and big fish for his clients with great knowledge on both sides of the Coromandel. if you are lucky enough to be on one of Owens’ trips…. buckle up, you’re in for a good time.
Kaos
Kaos is our newest custom-built Senator RH770.
It’s a beast! Kaos is fully pimped out with the very latest in Simrad marine electronics, Yamaha 250 Engine, the very best rods and reels from Jigstar, Maxel and Daiwa. Toilet available onboard.
Standard day departure out of Whitianga, running to Aldies, Curvier and the Mercs, fishing four people chasing Kingfish and anything else that shows up that pulls string!
Captain Alex
Your skipper on Coroking
Alex aka Capt Alex is our latest Skipper to join Epic Adventures. Alex brings a wealth of experience fishing around NZ and is also a Marine mechanic.
Alex is always in for a laugh and can always find the funny side of an angler pinned to the rail.
Capt Alex is our latest weekend skipper and is extremely passionate about everything he does, so prepare for an Epic trip!

Coroking
Coroking is a Senator 690, powered by a Honda BF 250 Four stroke.
She is fitted with the latest Simrad Evo Electronics and like Kaos, is fitted out with reels from Daiwa and Maxel on Jigstar rods. Toilet available onboard.
Coroking fishes four with the option for five, and will be targeting big Kingis and Snapper on the outer pins.
Captain Nick Stack
aka “Stacky”
Stacky is a long term Whitianga fisherman and skipper. Stacky brings a wealth of expertise to Epic.
Capt Nick's vessel, Stack Attack, is surveyed for deeper water meaning we can offer deep sea drops from Whitianga targeting massive Bass, Hapuka, Jem Fish and Swordfish.
Stack Attack Vessel
“Stack Attack” is a 8.5m long catamaran constructed of fiberglass and made in South Africa. Offering stability and comfort, with a full walk-around deck.
A pair of Yamaha 150HP outboard engines power the big cat and we’re fully equipped with electronics by Raymarine, that help us find the reefs and the fish.
Comfortably fishing 4-8 fisherfolk. Stack Attack has a full NZ maritime survey and all the latest safety equipment. MNZ#142253
